I need to purchase a sprayer to spray Roundup for converting fescue to native grass and food plots. Don't know whether to go 3 point, trailer type, or ATV type. I'll need a boom probably 15' to 20' wide. If anyone has any experience with these I would appreciate any info. Also PTO or gas engine driven?

I have a three point 55 gal sprayer, it has a 15 foot boom and a hand wand with a 150 foot spray reach. I went with the three point model in the intrest of not having one more engine to matain. I use it for roundup and liquid fertilizer. It is also good for spraying insect killer on my trees during the summer. You need to make sure it is cleaned real good when switching from roundup to fertilizer ar bug spray. I have also use it to spray for summer bugs. ....

I have a 25 gal poly tank with a 10' boom on the back of my ATV plus a hand wand with 35' of hose to spray the areas that are too steep to drive the ATV. I don't spray the entire 5 acres, just the fire break and around the house, shop and both sides of the 1/8 mile long driveway. I really need to get a larger tank but will use what I have till it needs repair. ....
